Nathan Sheets

Executive Director Emeritus

[email protected]

Nathan started working at The Center in 2013, and in 2016 moved into the executive director role. In his role, Nathan has taken part in organizational grow from a seven-person operation to now more than 50 employees over seven programs; much of the growth in response to the increasing needs of the community experiencing homelessness. He helped facilitate a $2.5 million renovation of The Center’s main site in Hollywood which is currently a hub for staff, groups, and the on-site clinic.

Nathan helped navigate the addition of the on-site clinic in partnership with Saban Community Clinic, while maintaining multiple LAHSA (Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority), and DHS (Department of Health Services) contracted work. Always an advocate for person-centered solutions for our neighbors on the street and for isolated community members, Nathan also serves on the Hollywood 4WRD board and enjoys collaborating with other partner agencies, businesses, faith groups, schools, and residents to break the cycle of homelessness by building inclusive community.

Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ball State University, and a master’s degree in pastoral theology from Santa Clara University.

If we meet for coffee, I’d love to talk about: The intersection of Grateful Dead, liberation theology, and Major League Baseball history.
