The Center’s Wellness Program is focused on its central principles of hospitality, wellness, and providing a safe space for our unhoused neighbors because we believe in the power of community!
Recent studies have shown the benefits of social support. Not only does community positively impact mental health, but it also has been proven to improve overall physical health outcomes.
Private, unrestricted funds help The Center in Hollywood provide more programs tailored to participant needs. Government contracts do not fully meet participant needs so it is up to us to fill those gaps – That’s where you come in!
Your support provides:
- The creation and continuation of programs tailored to participant needs such as Community Wellness, and Flourishing in Housing (housing retention)
- Staff to ensure continuity of care and program support for privately funded programs.
- Advocacy and education to help communities work toward practical, obtainable, solutions to address mental, health, and housing needs.
- A reserve for a healthy financial foundation. A healthy reserve means we can cover 3-6 months of operating expenses. Ensuring we can keep moving people into homes, pay our staff on time while we wait for government contracts to reimburse our work, or fix the unexpected leaky roof without missing a beat.
