On a bright and beautiful morning, a couple hundred people gathered at Bronson-Canyon Griffith Park to participate in a fundraiser hike hosted by Red Line Tours. Their goals were to climb to the top of Mount Hollywood to a point just behind the famous Hollywood sign and to raise funds to reunite people experiencing homelessness with their families.
After everyone registered, Tony Hoover, the owner of Redline Tours, welcomed and thanked everyone for their efforts to end homelessness in Hollywood. Then with the cutting of a ceremonial ribbon, the hikers were off to conquer the trail.
The 3-mile trek took hikers past beautiful vistas, along a windy path with inspirational trail markers and finally a triumphant view from the top! It was a beautiful way to physically experience the journey to end homelessness–an uphill road with some beautiful bright spots along the way that we believe will ultimately result in the end of homelessness in Hollywood.
Thanks to all who participated in this fantastic event!
